Are you on Facebook?

Are you on Facebook?

If so, you should know that more than 90 people have joined a “cause” wishing that the terrorist who murdered the boys at Mercaz HaRav just over a week ago would “R.I.P”.

This is but the latest outrage of Facebook. The previous one included their declaring the existence of a state of Palestine and apparently assigning this newly founded state a population that included approximately 250,000 Jews (including me and my family). When confronted by outraged members, Facebook did a semi-about-face. No, they didn’t return the communities in Judea and Samaria to Israeli control, they offered the lukewarm option of allowing each individual to decide where they live themselves. While this may sound reasonable, this means that the Arabs can claim that they live in Maale Adumim (my home city), or at least claim residence in a place called Maale Adumim, Palestine.

I was ready to suggest an all out withdrawal from Facebook, when the latest atrocity hit my inbox. So, if you have time, please go to: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=37625250248 and on the bottom of the page, click the link for Report Group and then try to explain to Facebook why glorifying a murderer serves no purpose, why honoring a killer only increases the determination of those who would target innocents such as those who died in Mercaz HaRav.

Ala’a Abu Dhaim should not be allowed to rest in peace, nor should his name be remembered for anything other than the horrors he committed. We have the right to answer back – by demanding Facebook remove this group, by committing ourselves not to purchase anything from anyone associated with this killer.

The government of Israel may not have the courage to destroy this killer’s home, but we have the power to deprive them of ever earning another shekel from an Israeli family. They chose to honor this purveyor of hatred by hanging Hamas and Hizbollah flags. Let us hang their economy. Do not buy from this family. Do not support those who support them.

May his name be cursed, his memory erased for all eternity. As it was to have been with Amalek, let it be with Ala’a Abu Dhaim – on Facebook and everywhere else!

A site about Israel, being Jewish and living in a world where things aren't always bright and shiny, but where there is always hope that tomorrow will be better.

This site is dedicated to the people who inspire me to stop what I am doing and write.

To my husband, to my children. To my parents and sister and brother, and their families. To my brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law.

To the victims of terrorism over the last few years.

To the soldiers of Israel.

To mothers.

To the Jews who are no more, and to the Jews yet to be.

To those around the world who understand that the path to peace is not reached through violence, to my Arab friends and neighbors.

To my international friends and email pals...

in short, this site is dedicated to those who have touched my life, and in so doing, have brought forth my words.
