A Sad Place of Pain and Remembrance...the Cemetery in Gush Katif

Have you ever heard of a cemetery having to be protected by an electronic fence? For what purpose? Are there riches there? Buried treasures that one fears might be looted by robbers? No...the cemetery in Gush Katif hides no riches...just the buried remains of 49 Jews, many murdered by Arab terrorists, all loved and missed by their families. And, should Sharon's expulsion plan be enforced, these graves will have to be destroyed, the remains moved to another place, their eternal rest interrupted and their relatives sent back into mourning because we have experience with Jewish graves in Arab hands.

What we have learned in the past:

And so, we will move the Gush Katif cemetery...but we will remember it as well. Each grave will be carefully moved, each loved one given a new resting place in our homeland. We remember each, honor each, mourn each.
