Internet- Anti-Semitic Attacks in 2008

There are many Internet sites that are brutally anti-Semitic. To publish them here may do more harm than good, as readers may choose to click to see the sites, thus adding "prestige" and recognition via the search engines. While we are not listing all anti-Semitic sites (that in itself would take months to compile), we are listing extreme examples of anti-Semitism on the web.

This page is part of a section on "2008 List of Anti-Semitic Attacks" maintained by PaulaSays. This is only a partial list. If you know of an attack not reported on these pages, please send a note to .

  • In August: A YouTube video was posted showing a young man urinating on a Holocaust memorial on a Greek island. The video showed a group of young Nazi students from a prestigious school on the island of Rhodes. The youth who posted the video called themselves "a secret group of students of the Venetoklio High School of Rhodes [who] do not dig at all the Jews who wish to turn the island of Rhodes into a second 'Land of Canaan.'" Approximately 40 Jews live on Rhodes and 6,000 in Greece.
  • A shocking film showing the GTA 4 computer game hero shooting Yeshiva students to death has been publicized on the internet. The film has been put out for the past two weeks on You Tube – (warning: not easy to view) and shows a scene from the new game GTA IV – in black and white, with German background music sung by Marlene Dietrich. The film opens with the title, “The Final Solution” in English and German and continues with the character of the actor passing through the arena of the GTA game as he cruelly murders religious and orthodox Jews.
  • The massacre of Jewish people during the Holocaust was "scientifically impossible," according to an article published by an Iranian satellite channel on its Web site. The article was written by Nicholas Kollerstrom, an academic specializing in astronomy, who had his fellowship terminated by University College London last month after he said there were never any gas chambers at Auschwitz. Press TV, an Iranian English-language 24-hour news channel, was set up last year, by the Iranian government, to offer "unbiased" reporting and "in-depth and complete analyses of current affairs," according to its Web site. It posted Kollerstrom's article on Sunday, and despite protest from a Jewish community organization, the article is still on the site. In the article, titled "The Walls of Auschwitz‚" Kollerstrom argues that "the alleged massacre of Jewish people by gassing during World War II was scientifically impossible." Kollerstrom's work is also hosted on the Web site of the Committee for Open Debate on the Holocaust‚ which also promotes the works of Holocaust deniers David Irving of England and Ernst Zundel of Germany.
  • amazon.com and additional websites for the disseminating anti-Semitic Nazi films widely in Europe. They were referring to films and books like “Jew Suss” (Jud Süss) - an unmistakably anti-Semitic feature movie and ”The Eternal Jew” the infamous and familiar seditious propaganda film that displays “documentary pictures” of Jews and, among other things, compares the Jews to mice.

Kassem PowerPoint

A site about Israel, being Jewish and living in a world where things aren't always bright and shiny, but where there is always hope that tomorrow will be better.

This site is dedicated to the people who inspire me to stop what I am doing and write.

To my husband, to my children. To my parents and sister and brother, and their families. To my brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law.

To the victims of terrorism over the last few years.

To the soldiers of Israel.

To mothers.

To the Jews who are no more, and to the Jews yet to be.

To those around the world who understand that the path to peace is not reached through violence, to my Arab friends and neighbors.

To my international friends and email pals...

in short, this site is dedicated to those who have touched my life, and in so doing, have brought forth my words.
