2008 List of Anti-Semitic Attacks

The world is a dangerous place to live;
not because of the people who are evil,
but because of the people who don't do
anything about it ~ Albert Einstein

Only days into the start of 2008, it becomes obvious that this year, as last year, is destined to be a year of hatred towards Jews around the world.

The information in the following sections was compiled from many websites and can serve as only a partial report card on the state of anti-Semitism today. There are attacks that go unreported, those that are only publicized locally, and those that make all the headlines. Worst of all, perhaps, are those attacks that are reported and then local and national organizations refuse to recognize them as attacks based on hatred/anti-Semitism. What follows is part of a trend...as old as the first time a Jew was attacked merely for his religion and as new as each dawn. We cannot understand such hatred and we cannot ignore it. If you have more to report, please send it to .

2008

Following, in alphabetical order, is a list of countries. Please click on the link to see a growing list of anti-Semitic attacks that have been perpetrated during 2008. Each time there is an incident in a country not listed below, we will attempt to add that country...and sadly, by the end of 2008, we expect the list will be as long and full as last year's list. This is the third year we are attempting to keep a running history of attack by country in one location. They are not complete - this takes much time to compile (not to mention the many attacks that don't get reported, or attacks where local governments deny the anti-Semitic nature of the attack). We can only hope that this will be the last year...

A site about Israel, being Jewish and living in a world where things aren't always bright and shiny, but where there is always hope that tomorrow will be better.

This site is dedicated to the people who inspire me to stop what I am doing and write.

To my husband, to my children. To my parents and sister and brother, and their families. To my brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law.

To the victims of terrorism over the last few years.

To the soldiers of Israel.

To mothers.

To the Jews who are no more, and to the Jews yet to be.

To those around the world who understand that the path to peace is not reached through violence, to my Arab friends and neighbors.

To my international friends and email pals...

in short, this site is dedicated to those who have touched my life, and in so doing, have brought forth my words.
