In Hamas' Words

Abd al-Aziz Rantisi is one of the senior leaders of the Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

Seventy-two suicide bombers were dispatched by the Hamas since September 2000. The Hamas has recruited and operated 18 Israeli Arab cells. In these Hamas suicide terror attacks since September 2000, at least 227 Israelis have been murdered and 1393 wounded.

Meet Dr. Abdel Aziz Rantisi, in his own words:

“We propose a 10 year ceasefire in return for (Israeli) withdrawal and the establishment of a state” Rantisi said in a telephone interview with the Reuters news agency from his hideout in the Gaza strip.

"It is difficult to liberate all our land at this stage, so we are willing to accept a phased liberation. We accept a state in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip”, said Rantisi.

"Hamas is rejecting any call for ceasefire under occupation," senior Hamas leader Abdel Aziz Rantisi said in Gaza City. "The word ceasefire is not in our dictionary.

"There is no difference between Akko, Haifa, Gaza, Jaffa or Nablus. The Palestinian Intifada will continue until the last Zionist is banished."

"All the land of Palestine is a part of the Islamic faith and the Caliph Omar bin al-Khattab declared it for all Muslims. Therefore, no individual or group has the right to sell it or give it up."

"Our armed resistance will not stop. On the contrary, Hamas will reach deep into the cities of Israel."

"In the future we will multiply the suicide bombing attacks and we will carry out operations that will shock the Jews."

"Blow yourselves up against the American army. Bomb them in Baghdad. We say to the United States that their flag will go down while the Iraqi flag shall fly everywhere."

Hamas is...as it always has been - a terrorist organization. This is something even the Arabs now recognized. Recently Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas spoke of Hamas as “murderous terrorists.”

Here is Hamas it is own words about Israel:

“Palestine is Arab Islamic land, from the river to the sea, including Jerusalem. There is no room in it for the Jews.” Group statement on the anniversary of the UN Partition Plan vote (November 29, 2007)

"We will not betray promises we made to God to continue the path of Jihad and resistance until the liberation of Palestine, all of Palestine," Hamas statement (March 12, 2007)

"To the Zionists who plundered our land.... we promise you that tomorrow all of Palestine will be hell for you, with Allah's help..."
- Muhammed Deif, leader of the Izz al-Din Al Qassam Brigade, the so-called 'military wing' of Hamas, August 2005 (from statement posted on their website on 27 August 2005).

"Hamas will continue to wield its weapons and to claim its right to resist.  Resistance will continue to be a strategic option until the last piece of Palestinian land is liberated, until the last refugee returns...."
- Khaled Mashal, Damascus-based leader of Hamas, December 2005, speaking in Damascus.

"Israel is a vile entity that has been planted on our soil, and has no historical, religious or cultural legitimacy...."
- Mahmoud Al-Zahar, Hamas leader and former Palestinian foreign minister, October 2006, quoted in Al-Ayyam, Palestinian newspaper.

"The constants and the strategy of Hamas do not change according to circumstances.   Hamas will stay faithful to Jihad, to resistance, to guns, to Palestine and to Jerusalem...."
- Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas leader and Palestinian Prime Minister quoted in the Gulf Daily News, Bahrain, 20 January 2006

"The Hour [Resurrection] will not take place until the Muslims fight the Jews and the Muslims kill them, and the rock and the tree will say: "Oh Muslim, servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, kill him!....". Palestine and the Al Aqsa mosque will not be liberated through summits nor by international resolutions, but through the rifle....."
- Ismail Radwan, Hamas spokesman, sermon broadcast on PA TV, 30 March 2007

"By God, we will not leave one Jew in Palestine. We will fight them with all the strength we have. This is our land, not the Jews."
- Abd al-Aziz Rantisi

"We [aim to liberate] all our lands. If we have the option, we will establish a state on every inch of land within the 1967 [borders], but this does not by any means imply that we will relinquish our right to all the Palestinian lands. We want all of Palestine from [Ras] Naqura to Rafah, and from the [Mediterranean] sea to the [Jordan] river." Mahmoud Al-Zahar Al-Ayyam (October 21, 2006)

Kassem PowerPoint

A site about Israel, being Jewish and living in a world where things aren't always bright and shiny, but where there is always hope that tomorrow will be better.

This site is dedicated to the people who inspire me to stop what I am doing and write.

To my husband, to my children. To my parents and sister and brother, and their families. To my brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law.

To the victims of terrorism over the last few years.

To the soldiers of Israel.

To mothers.

To the Jews who are no more, and to the Jews yet to be.

To those around the world who understand that the path to peace is not reached through violence, to my Arab friends and neighbors.

To my international friends and email pals...

in short, this site is dedicated to those who have touched my life, and in so doing, have brought forth my words.
