Back When Olmert Made Sense

In Their Words....Part of the In Their Words section of Paula Says.

Ehud Olmert

I know it's been a long time...but there was a time, once, when Ehud Olmert actually made sense...

  • We simply cannot afford to make Israel [9 miles] wide again at its center. We can't allow the Palestinians to be a couple [miles] from [Tel Aviv's] Ben Gurion Airport in the age of shoulder-fire missiles with the capacity to shoot down jumbo jets.
  • “[Palestinian militants] started this terror, they have made the use of human bombs, those suicidal attackers, as frequent as possible, ...
  • “We are in a war, a very brutal war that has been waged against every Jewish person in the heart of Jerusalem, ... My city is bleeding, day in and day out, with tens of civilians killed.”

Maybe the day will come again when Ehud Olmert will once again make sense...when we will stop talking in terms of surrender, defeat, and rewarding terrorists...or maybe not....

A site about Israel, being Jewish and living in a world where things aren't always bright and shiny, but where there is always hope that tomorrow will be better.

This site is dedicated to the people who inspire me to stop what I am doing and write.

To my husband, to my children. To my parents and sister and brother, and their families. To my brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law.

To the victims of terrorism over the last few years.

To the soldiers of Israel.

To mothers.

To the Jews who are no more, and to the Jews yet to be.

To those around the world who understand that the path to peace is not reached through violence, to my Arab friends and neighbors.

To my international friends and email pals...

in short, this site is dedicated to those who have touched my life, and in so doing, have brought forth my words.
